The Race (Donegal) 2020 - Self Help Africa

On the 21st March 2020, I will take on Ireland's Ultimate Endurance Test, 'The Race', a 250km one-day multi-sport adventure race, in aid of Self Help Africa. I am fundraising to raise the minimum entry fee of €600, and hopefully double that, with all proceeds, including the entry fee, going to Self Help Africa. https://selfhelpafrica.org/ie/about-us http://www.therace.ie/ A video documentary of the 2017 event can be viewed here. https://vimeo.com/262371037 The Race is a 250 km unsupported endurance event across the rugged landscape of North West Donegal. To finish competitors have to complete 15km of kayaking, 166km of cycling, 5km of mountain running and 64km of road and trail running. The cut-off is 24 hours. It is considered Ireland's ultimate test of endurance. It will be a massive personal challenge for me also, and I would really appreciate your support!  Self Help Africa is a leading international development charity with an expertise in small-scale farming and growing family-farm businesses. It is dedicated to ending hunger and poverty in rural Africa. 250 million people in Africa, farmers and their families, suffer hunger and malnutrition, struggling in extreme rural poverty without enough food; left behind by rising economic growth. Thank you!
