In this battle against the Covid-19 Pandemic, we must all help each other in order to beat this crisis.
I am currently 3D Printing face shields to donate to our hospitals in order to support our front line workers in this battle. With your support, this will help me be able to procure an additional printer as well as filaments in order to provide more face shields at a quicker rate.
My goal is to not only be able to donate to our local hospitals but to also be able to donate everywhere else in the world. All the proceeds will go towards helping our community in this time of need!

General Information:
The masks are 3D printed using Polylactic Acid Plastic or most commonly known as PLA. This plastic is generally made out of corn starch or sugar cane which makes it biodegradable. PLA is also commonly used in other medical devices such as screws, pins, rods and they are expected to biodegrade withing 6-12 months. Also, these prints can be cleaned with bleach, alcohol or any disinfectant.
With 3D printing, we usually have an option of having an infill for our prints. What this means is that we are able to determine how "filling" our 3D items have. Any none load bearing prints we usually only print at about 10%-25% infill but since these masks are designed to protect our front line workers, we use 100% infill in order for it to be able to take as much usage as it can. Due to the infill percentage, it also increases the print time and the amount of material used. It takes about 2 hours to print 2 face shields together. Since I work at a construction/distribution company, we are still deemed essential and I am only able to print about 10 face masks a day.
