Cameron (& Shea) Petrella Alzheimers Fund

The Petrella Ladies have an Alzheimer's journey ahead of them and need your help.

Beautiful, funny, wacky Cameron Petrella has been diagnosed with Alzheimers, and beautiful, funny wacky Shea Petrella, her daughter, is her caregiver.



Two years ago, Cameron was officially diagnosed with Alzheimer's after a three year relationship with memory loss. She relocated from Marathon to Ft. Lauderdale two years ago to live with her daughter Shea, leaving the Keys life behind.



Cameron and Shea actually really love living together. Their relationship is quite endearing, filled with a lot of laughter. If you have ever met Shea or Cameron, you know what I mean. These  two have found the secret to dealing with memory loss with lots of laughter and silliness. (I keep suggesting we get them their own Bravo show!) Cameron is very social therefore tags along with Shea just about every where she can. 

Shea earned credentials at the Caregiver's Assistance Program and has done a great deal of research into how to manage Cameron's wellness and medications, as well as how to best utilize available county services and plan for the future.

Shea works at a demanding job in Miami that takes up a good portion of her day, 20 miles from home. Cameron attends the Nobel A. Mc Cartor Senior Center 3 times a week and otherwise stays alone during the day tending to her plants. Soon however, Cameron will need full time care, more technical assistance and eventually hospitalization. 

Shea is a generous, diligent, very capable powerhouse, but there is no reason she can or should have to do this on all her own. 

Both Cameron and Shea have many friends, as well as close family, who care deeply about these two extraordinary women. The Petrella Ladies have brought love and laughter into many lives, so today I'm asking you to help them with a donation towards Cameron's Alzheimer's care.
