The Pepper's Get Moving for Meningitis Now

Our now 9 year old son was diagnosed with E-coli Bacterial Meningitis at 3 weeks old. After 24 days in hospital we got to take our baby home.

A lot of people know the main symptoms and complications from meningitis but not many people know of the lasting effects meningitis has on the brain.

We took our baby home thinking we'd been so lucky that he has survived this horrible disease with no long term issues.

Our son has a lot of complicated social and emotional issues with complex cognitive impairments and struggles with some fine and gross motor skills.

We are so grateful for the ongoing support Meningitis Now has provided and so as a family we decided we wanted to give something back.

For anyone that knows us as a family you will know we are not fitness fanatics and the most exercise us adults get each week is from walking the dog.

We have decided that throughout the summer holidays we are going to walk a cumulative total of 50km.

We know times are hard financially but we would be so grateful if you could donate towards our gofundme for Meningitis Now which will help motivate and spur us on to complete our challenge.
