<div>On Friday, May 10, 2024, a tragic car accident claimed the lives of our community's beloved organizers Peggy Moore and her wife Hope Wood. Another family member was also killed and the only survivor, Hope's aunt, was severely injured and faces a long recovery.

<div>Through unimaginable grief, their families are now faced with the difficult task of settling Peggy and Hope's affairs and the steep costs of two sets of funeral arrangements in California and Oklahoma. Both Peggy and Hope were the eldest of their siblings and dutiful daughters who were pillars of support for their aging parents. The enormity of the impact on their families from this loss cannot be overstated.

<div>Peggy and Hope were cherished friends, community leaders and impactful organizers. Their good works have ripples throughout the country and this profound loss is widely felt. Many of us are searching for a way to process this tragedy.

<div>With approval from their families, a community of Peggy &amp; Hope's extended family and friends have launched this campaign to support the unexpected financial burden of funeral expenses and the settling of their affairs. The Moore and Wood families have each designated a family member to receive equal fund disbursements from this GoFundMe campaign.
