The Passing of my Beloved Father

Donation protected
There is nothing quite like the loss of a parent. My Father, Mark Palomino, was an honorable man. He was a friend to many, but most importantly was a beloved Dad and Husband. His passing has left us with a great deal of grief. However, my family and I will forever remain strong in our faith and trust that God has a greater plan for us all.

On August 14th, 2017 our incredibly loved Mark Palomino suddenly passed away leaving behind his son Ivan and wife Norma. Earlier that week, Mark had visited the doctor’s office because he was not feeling too well. After seeing the doctor, he was instructed to rest and was prescribed some medication to help get him back on his feet. Following instructions, Mark decided to take a rest and never woke up. My mother and I were the two who found him unresponsive and called 911. The paramedics then arrived and told us he had passed away. Our hearts were immediately struck with sadness when delivered the news.

In the past, Mark always battled back and forth with issues pertaining to his health. In 2006, Mark was diagnosed with an unexpected stroke. After being told his chances to survive were very slim, faith played a key factor to Mark’s recovery. With the unconditional love and support of my mother, Norma, and I, as well as family and friends by his side, Mark overcame all odds and fought his way to a miraculous recovery. At the same time, Mark was also diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, heart problems, and partial Paralysis. Being the strong individual everyone knew Mark as, he never gave up. He continued to inch his way back to a healthy life and accomplished his goal. From implementing more of a balanced diet, to learning to walk again, to going back to doing what he loved, being behind a camera, Mark knew just how to overcome encounters with adversity.

Mark was a well known and beloved television cameraman in Los Angeles and throughout Southern California, but most of all he was a dedicated, loving father. He was beyond proud of his son Ivan's exceptional ability as a student in the classroom and player out on the baseball field.

Mark’s son, Ivan Palomino is an incoming freshman at Azusa Pacific University where he will studying the subject of Chemistry. He departs to college on August 25th, 2017, just days after his Father’s memorial. Starting college is one of the most exciting times in a young person's life and it is tragic that Ivan will begin his college career with this tragedy in his midst. He has been left without the role of his Father in his life. Ivan is in need of any help. His Father loved him dearly. We should continue to support, Ivan, financially and emotionally just as his Father would if he were here. Nothing can take the pain away of losing Mark, but the least we can do is come together to help cover the costs in regards to the services and of course Ivan’s upcoming academic journey.

Thank you for taking the time to read Mark’s story.

All proceeds will be going directly to Ivan, as his Father would want it to be this way.

Let's set Ivan off on a good start and wish him all the happiness and success that Mark wanted for him. Every donation is greatly appreciated. No amount is too small. We truly appreciate all the support. May God bless you all!
