Meet the Orth family, Lisa, Adam, Liam, Victoria, Hunter and Tristan. We are Kirsty, Shantelle, and Karen. Lisa has been a dear friend of ours since our children were in nursery school together and they are just the kindest family who have really fallen on hard times. This winter has brought them one emergency after another. We are starting this campaign to help them repair their car which needs a new engine and to repair their home so they can go home again.
We are asking friends, family and the community to come together and help them get back on their feet. Please consider a $ 5 dollar donation, anything helps, the cost of a latte from anyone who sees this campaign will make a world of difference to this family. We thank you for your support!
Their Story
In the fall the Orth family basement flooded which then destroyed their furnace. Their main vehicles engine died and the very next day the pipes froze and burst inside their home. The backup vehicle is too small for the family and has no back window. They have been living in a hotel for weeks. Not having the funds to fix the car or the full cost of the bill for all of the re-plumbing of the home, has been an overwhelming burden.
They have one car to get to work and to drive the kids back and forth to school, so the biggest need right now is fixing their vehicle, and getting the repairs done to the house so they can go home again.
We have been making meals for the family to offset the cost of eating out. However we would love to see the community to come together to help them get their reliable vehicle back on the road and to finish up the home repairs so they can go home. Financial support for this family is the best way we know how to help them, and we are asking for your help to get them back on track and ease some of the stress.
The cost of all repairs is $7300 dollars and we know with the sharing of this story we can get there.
