The OceanFolx Scholarship
OceanFolx is a volunteer led program! Together with a few other femme volunteers, we will be leading a 10 day program from April 12th - 22nd 2024 for young girls* ages 12-17 in Indonesia. The 10 day program will focus on surfing, sailing and sustainability as a way of empowering femme youth to grow their confidence as leaders, while fostering stewardship for the marine environment. We will also be partnering with local womxn of the Lombok community throughout our program.
The program is provided at cost in order to increase accessibility to all program participants despite their financial background. We are hoping to raise enough money to bring along three youth on the program who would otherwise be unable to afford to.
That is why Maddy - our founder, will be embarking on 6 week long trip across Canada from Toronto to Halifax by bike! Follow along on her journey at @oceanfolx . We hope to raise enough money for three scholarships for the program in April!
