The NICU Ninja

This is RJ. When he was born, he was very sick. The NICU staff at Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital saved his life. Every year, we go back to the hospital and to the Ronald McDonald House with Christmas cookies so that we can thank them as a family for saving our boy. Because of them, RJ is now a happy, healthy, thriving 6 year old. He loves school, soccer,  practices karate 3 times a week (he has earned his junior blue belt), and loves running 5Ks with his dad.

This sweet boy with a heart of gold has decided that he wants to put together gift bags for all the NICU families with snacks for the parents and gifts for the babies. He also wants to be able to buy enough toys that he’s able to fill his wagon with them and hand them out to the sick children there as well as the siblings at the Ronald McDonald House. This year he’d also like to be able to adopt a local family or two. He loves the holidays, and wants to share the joy if he’s able!

Please help us make his dream come true – and bring some cheer to sick children and their families this holiday season!
