The NHS Mental Health Project
Donation protected
Our mental health is a precious and empowering thing. Recent increases in the use of mental health services and the troubling suicide rates have brought to light how difficult mental health problems can be.
The current pandemic is negatively impacting the mental health of our NHS staff. Behind the scenes of an NHS worker’s 7-day week, is an individual who is isolated from their family, friends and loved ones. While these individuals work to save lives and ensure the nation is protected, their own mental health and wellbeing are left unacknowledged. To make matters worse, currently, in Theydon Bois, the waiting list to receive professional help for mental health difficulties is three months – a time too long for many to fight. For NHS worker’s like my Mum, this means that private services are the only option. However, the current climate makes this an unlikely option due to short funds.
Please help me to raise money for NHS staff so that they can be supported through these difficult times. Currently, professional counselling costs £50 per session. I have set a fundraiser goal of £200. This will firstly allow 4 sessions to be purchased for the NHS workers during this time. However, please do not stop at £200! All money raised over £200 will be given to NHS staff like my Mum so that they can receive the help they also desperately need.
Please donate and help me give back to the NHS staff that work so hard to protect you and your family.
