The Next 100 Days

Donation protected
On Saturday, August 11, Jeff Stewart suffered a massive heart attack and three simultaneous strokes. Thanks to the quick thinking of his wife Zoe and daughter Kaitlyn, he was taken to the Mazankowski Heart Institute in Edmonton where he underwent emergency open-heart surgery to repair a rare, life-threatening ventricular wall rupture. At the time, he was given only a 50% chance of surviving the surgery. With the help of the skilled surgeons and amazing medical staff at the Mazankowski, he was here to see his 48 birthday on August 19. Although he is beginning to make a slow recovery, Jeff has been left with several debilitating health issues, including vision, memory and mobility loss. It will be months before he is able to work again and his long-term disability benefits will not kick in for 100 days. In the meantime, the family is struggling to find a way to pay their bills and not burden Jeff with additional stress as he fights his way back from this life-changing experience. Please help Jeff, Zoe and their children make it through the next 100 days so the family can focus on Jeff’s recovery and ensure he has a home to come home to.
