Send the Moli-cools to Globals

After many months of hard work and many after-school hours, our Destination Imagination team qualified to go to the global finals. The trip will cost a total of $20,000 and will take place during the third week of may (forty-five days from when this is being written)

The competition is a S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) trial that integrates storytelling with the testing of a structure. The structure is judged on its weight to weight held ratio. Our structure weighed in at 98g and held 150lbs of olympic style weights dropped from approximately 24 inches. The story must add depth to the structure testing. In addition to the story and structure, we tell our story using two "choice elements" which act as a visual aid to our story.

Please support the 7 person team, 6 of whom are girls in S.T.E.A.M., in our dream of competing -and hopefully winning- at this engineering event. We did well in regionals and Provincials, and are excited to represent Squamish on the global stage.

We accept all methods of payment and are grateful for any donation, no matter the size.
