The Milam family get into their home

Hi my name is Baylee. I recently got married in September 2023. My new husband and 4 year old daughter planned on starting our new life and purchasing a home. We found a starter home for our little family in Richmond,Mo. It fit our budget and had plenty of room for our family to grow. We finally got the house and moved in however we went to go change the utilities into our name the city informed us that the sellers did not provide work permits for the renovation the house had. The city came to do an inspection and said the sellers did not do any of the work up to code. They ended up condemning our house that we had only 2 weeks. We are now required by the city of Richmond to get our house up to code. This was devastating news as a newlywed couple spent our savings on our wedding/honeymoon and to purchase this home.We are now currently homeless and required to make or mortgage payment plus the money that it will take to get our house up to code and to hire a lawyer and court fees to make the sellers responsible for this. We are completely devastated by this situation and never would of expected to be in this situation
