The Mel Curiel Scholarship Fund

Our very own Melissa Curiel is taking on a new challenge: grad school!  Mel plans to attend the University of San Francisco to obtain her Masters in Public Administration.  She will begin a 21 week program in January of 2021 while continuing to work full time as a Victims Service Advocate.  As many of you know, Mel has dedicated her career to working with survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence.  Earning this degree will allow her to further influence and enact much needed change in the field.  She aims to increase access to services for diverse and under-served communities within an already stigmatized and under-resourced population. 

Mel is a fierce advocate who is truly putting her heart and soul into making the world a better place.  While she does not know this fund has been created, I know she will appreciate every penny put towards helping her to make her dream happen for herself and those she serves.
