<div>For anyone this has reached who doesn’t know us, my name is Jessica, and my husband is Mark. We have a 14-year-old son, Collin. We are a little family of three living in North Ridgeville, Ohio.

<div>Mark is a hilarious, driven, wonderful man who loves sports, Star Wars, The Big Lebowski, the WWE, Mötley Crüe, and McDonald’s. Mark lost his mother suddenly a little over a year ago. Collin is a straight-A student, also a sports nut (plays baseball, football, basketball, and runs track) and the most kind and gentle kid you will ever meet. Collin also lost his mother to cancer in October 2020. These men, who I love so much, have endured way too many tragedies in such a short amount of time.

<div><strong>Now to tell you why we’re here:</strong>

<div>Friday the 13th isn’t just a scary movie or superstition for us any longer. On June 13, 2025, Mark was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer that has metastasized to his liver. As with anyone, this news has changed our lives in ways I wouldn’t wish on a single person on this Earth. Even though we are a strong family, and have been through SO MUCH... and as much as Mark doesn't want to, at this time we have to ask for help.

<div>Even with just starting our treatment journey, the medical bills are already in the thousands and Mark hasn’t even begun chemotherapy yet. We are getting care through the Cleveland Clinic, and they now require some payments up front. For port placement alone, the cost is over $3,000.00.

</div>
<div>I know times are incredibly tough financially right now, but if you are able to help, please know it would ease a huge burden on us. Mark needs to focus on staying strong during chemo, not worry about how we’re going to pay for it and also cover all our bills.
