The McElroy Brain Tumor Fight

As many of you already know, Tommy McElroy, Pookie, has a brain tumor. Jill (his wife) has finally agreed to allowing me to do something to try to assist them. She and her family are going to need our help through the long road to recovery for Tommy, and the journey is just beginning. This family is amazing, and they need all the support, love, and prayers they can get.

Tommy "Pookie" McElroy was readmitted back into the hospital this week to have a biopsy done of the tumor. This process alone is going to be at least a few days, due to the location of the tumor and the process in which the biopsy is done, to determine what type of brain tumor it is and to make a plan of action of how to possibly treat it. It has been stated that the tumor itself cannot be removed due to the location and the damage that would be caused by removing it. As with the biopsy and all the things that will follow with treatment and such, there are many scary risks. The location of the tumor has already caused pressure on his brain and stroke-like symptoms due to swelling and pressing on nerves. Both Tommy and Jill are remaining very positive and we are all hoping for the best possible outcome. 

The goal of this GoFundMe is to take all the financial stress off of Jill and Tommy over the coming months. Insurance will only cover so much of the medical expenses, but nothing of normal living expenses to assist them when he is unable to work nor be left alone due to fall risks. Jill is staying by his side to support him as any wife would do. They have applied for disability, but as most of you know that process could be at minimum 6 months or longer to even get approved for assistance of any sorts.

We have also created this page to update everyone as things progress with Tommy. Please help us to share this campaign so we get as much financial support to the McElroy's as possible. Thank you SO much in advance for your support.
