The Mayor of Knutsford's DANCE-A-THON
Donation protected
This year The Mayor has chosen to support 2 charities and he will be dancing his way to raising funds for them on Monday 2nd May during his 'Dance-a-thon'.
A 12 hour, non-stop dance marathon inspired by Sophie Ellis-Bextor's Kitchen Disco's.
If you'd like to choose a song for The Mayor to dance to, please donate and write your song choice as a message and we will do our best to provide video evidence for you to enjoy :)
All your donations however big or small will go towards the 2 Mayoral Charities.
The Royal British Legion was chosen as he hails from Aldershot, home of the British Army; but more personally if it was not for the skill of the Royal Army Medical Corps’ doctors and the care from the Queen Alexandra’s nurses on duty at the Louise Margaret Hospital in late February 1964 neither he nor his mother would be alive today. So, this is his way of saying thank you to them for the gift of life.
His second charity is the St Vincent de Paul Society; despite being a Catholic and having heard reference to the SVP over many years it was only after he moved to Knutsford that he became aware of their excellent work in their communities.
