Please help honor Matthew and help his daughters have the future Matthew wished for them.
Matthew had stomach flu symptoms late Monday night, which apparently triggered other problems including low blood pressure and a stroke.
While attending to Matthew, Suzie heard a thud and found Matthew on the floor, unresponsive, and called 911. Matthew was rushed to hospital which immediately began diagnosis and treatments.
The doctors were baffled as to how a young man, completely healthy during the day Monday, could be critically ill Monday night. One of the conditions found was air on the brain for which the treatment at a second hospital was prescribed.
Matthew was transferred there and underwent treatment in a hyperbaric chamber to dissipate the air emboli. Doctors remained baffled as to the root cause of Matthew’s condition and treated him for his symptoms as they continued to run tests in an attempt to find a cause. Matthew remained critical and unresponsive in Intensive Care. It became obvious that there was no longer hope for Matthew to remain with Suzie and their daughters.
