The Marmol Family's Surrogacy Journey

We have bravely chosen to share our story, aiming to raise awareness, seek a surrogate, and gather financial support to accomplish our dream of expanding our family.

What turned into a routine visit to expand our family turned into a very rare cancer diagnosis. This placed me among fewer than 140 known cases worldwide. Despite the rollercoaster of emotions, two things stayed true for us: 1. we would beat cancer and 2. we would have the family we envisioned for ourselves.

Given the cancer's aggressive nature, I quickly underwent a hysterectomy (removal of my uterus). In addition, I also had my fallopian tubes, cervix, as well as part of my vaginal canal and pelvic wall tissue removed. Miraculously, my ovaries were spared, and I am considered cancer-free (!!) offering hope for our parenthood journey through gestational surrogacy.

Yet, there are hurdles ahead. We face the financial challenges, prompting us to seek the generosity our community. The cost of our gestational surrogacy journey can cost up to $200,000. This cost includes my IVF and egg retrieval, compensation fee for the surrogate and accompanying medical costs, lawyer fees, plus incidentals.

We are excited to embark on this journey of expanding our family which can take up to two years. We are so grateful for all the love and support we have. This part of our story has taught us the power of unity.
