In the summer of 2004 Marco May a father of two and husband to Grecia May was stricken with CIDP Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy. A disease that attacks the auto immune system. This left Marco May in a wheel chair ever since, receaving dialysis three times a week. His wife does her best to provide for him and her two children working a full time job in a grocery store. She has to do it all, she has to be a father, a friend a wife and a provider all while taking care of her husband. Transporting him to all his medical appointments and also completing all her other responsabilities. Grecia has been working non stop since 2004 to pay for all the medical bills, food, and children not once taking a break to spend time with her husband and family.
Our goal is to help out this family with a handicap van, and allow Grecia to take some time off to be with her husband and family since she has been working constantly. Currently they drive a small car which makes it very difficult for Grecia to transport Marco. She has to lift and carry him out of the wheel chair into the car. It is hard for them to do much of anything or go anywhere for this reason. Marco and Grecia May despite this issue are amazing, warm, kindhearted people who always have a smile on their faces despite their trials.
We would like to help them out as soon as we can so they can enjoy their time together as a family, we hope and pray that they will once again be able to do what a normal family does. We pray that with the help of everyone of you we can reach this goal and give them back a bit of normality in their lives!
