The Lyle’s Fundraiser for Sick Kids

In the month of November 2020, our brother Andrew fell ill after catching Coronavirus. The effects of the virus in play with his additional needs resulted in Andrew being hospitalised in Edinburgh Sick Kids for a number of weeks.

The entire staff team in A&E and both wards where Andrew was a patient showed patience, understanding and resilience. They took into account his additional needs and always looked after him with a smile. As well as supporting and caring for Andrew, they showed compassion and thoughtfulness when dealing with our family, and the many families surrounding us.

The overwhelming amount of support we received as a family has driven us to give something back this year, at a time where everyone could do with some additional support.

We will each be running a half marathon (13.1 miles) on Christmas Day to raise money for the Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity. Every donation will help, and is much appreciated.
