The long and winding road

As you know my mom has had a long road. Since being little she has undergone many medical procedures and has had a lifetime of pain without answers. This April her legs stopped receiving signals from her brain to tell her to walk. Her peripheral sensory neuropathy is playing a huge role. The doctors are calling it idiopathic- meaning they can't find the cause. After speaking with many specialists it was her physical therapist who started pushing a proper Lyme scan. This would need to be done at a Lyme center- or a Lyme specialist- who don't deal with insurance companies- everything is out of pocket. With my mom being out of work- it leaves my dad providing for it all. He is such a hard worker and I hate to see them struggle. She isn't pushing to get this Lyme scan because she can't fathom spending money she doesn't have for something her own Dr can't figure out. I have called so many people and the only way to get her there is to pay. She's going to be so mad at me for doing this as she is the last person to ask for help. We all just need answers.
