The Lives Affected by Albania’s Earthquake

Albania suffered from an earthquake today. This hits home to me literally and figuratively. Most of my family lives in Durres which is about 20 miles from the capital, Tirana. Some of you who are reading this may be Albanian and some of you may not be. Regardless, we are all people. But in 2 days will mark the 107th year we received independence of this beautiful country. Although the country is in crumbles, I am even more proud to be an Albanian. No one can control what happened but we can control what we make of it. If you cannot afford to donate anything please say a prayer to help the families who have lost their very own; items, blood, children, etc. Especially with the holidays coming up, take something from this. Be THANKFUL you don’t have to sleep in a  stadium with strangers, or that you are questioning  whether or not your dad, sister, brother, mom is stuck under a pile of rubble because you can’t find them. More importantly, make a difference with .50 cents or $100 whatever that may be. It WILL make a difference.  To my family in Albania, I love you and to the country of Albania I love you. ♥️
