The Linda G. Roberson Memorial Fund

When reflecting on how a person is supposed to live their life, you always hear people say "live by the Golden Rule", "treat others how you would want to be treated", "try to put yourself in others' shoes" and many other metaphoric antidotes to encourage one to be a good person. Anyone who knew my mom, Linda Roberson, knows that she not only lived by these moral compasses but she embodied them to the core of who she was. As the saying goes: "don't talk about it, BE ABOUT IT!" Well honey, that was Linda Roberson, and she was all about it. 

Linda spent her entire life and career dedicated to helping others, especially children. She was a teacher, then guidance counselor, administrator and finally retired as Principal of Knightdale elementary after serving in the public school system for almost 40 years. As most educators in the public school system will tell you, there is no telling how much overtime and personal money Linda gave in order to help children and their families over her vast career. 

We have created this GoFundMe Memorial site for anyone who would like to help carry on Linda's legacy. 100% of the donations will go to various charities, churches and most importantly children who are in need. Through Linda's many connections in education, we plan on carrying on her legacy by doing charitable acts that directly helps children and families in Wake County and surrounding areas. 

I will be documenting and sharing where every single dime goes and depending on how this pans out, we may be able to actually set up a foundation that lives on long term and not just in the months following her untimely passing.
