<div>Hi, Over the last few years we have with your help, raised funds to erect a shelter for English Electric Lightning, XR724.

<div>This in itself has been a long hard slog but made a lot easier by our amazing supporters over our various social media platforms and a previous fundraising page.

<div>Our focus now, going forward, is to continue the restoration of the aircraft to as close to operational status as possible.



</div>



<div>Unfortunately, it will never fly again, but to just hear it start up the mighty Rolls Royce Avons and able to operate the controls means a lot to us and proof of the work we are carrying out.



</div>



<div>Looking into the future, we will need fuel and various lubricants, such as hydraulic oil (OM15), engine oil (OX38) and Nitrogen for the accumulator and tyre pressures.



</div>



<div>The surface finish preparation and painting continues as and when the temperature and humidity inside the shelter is favourable. The paint team are doing a wonderful job. Aside from the aircraft we also have Ground Support Equipment also under restoration to enhance our capabilities.
