The Liane Deasy Memorial Swim
In April 2017 Liane Deasy, my wife and best friend, passed away as a result of her epilepsy. I have decided to run an annual sea swimming race in her honour to raise money for Epilepsy Ireland and to remember her love of the sea. The first race will take place on August 8th, 2018 in Killiney and I am looking to raise funds here to pay for the overheads that go with the race. Any of the money not spent on the race will be present to Epilepsy Ireland the week after the race.

Epilepsy Ireland is a charity very close to Mark's heart. He fundraised for them for the 12 months after Liane's death and raised €55,000 with huge help from family and friends. In place of that level of fundraising he is going to run this race each year to help the charity raise funds for the vital work that they do on a daily basis.
