Support Jason Lewin and his family

Our beloved Lewin family needs our help right now.  On Saturday, September 5th, Jay was admitted to the ER for a severe headache (on his 35th Birthday).  After undergoing a CT scan, it was determined that he had a growth on his brain, and he was transported to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.  Within hours Jay underwent a 6-hour surgery to remove a 3cm tumor.  This was certainly a shock to Jay and his entire family, and they are doing the best they can under the circumstances.



Jay’s doctors are optimistic for his recovery but he has a long road ahead.  A recent MRI has indicated there is some damage to his brain as a result of the pressure build up in his head before the surgery took place. We won’t know how much of a recovery he can make at this point, time is the only thing that will show us how he will heal.



With Jay expected to take 6-12 months for recovery, he will be out of work, and the increasing medical costs associated with his recovery will have a major financial impact on Jay and his family. All the funds collected will be spent on Jay’s recovery and his family's expenses. Jay and his wife Laura are raising two sons, 9-year-old Brennan, and 7-year-old Caden. Whatever you can give to help Jay and his family through this time will be greatly appreciated.  


Jay has given so much to his local community, from serving as assistant chief of the Vernon Fire Department, to volunteering as a soccer coach for his two sons. Let’s rally as a community and show Jay and his family that we are in this together, and support them during this difficult time.
