GoodRow Productions is a Film, Drama and Community-focused Production Company based in Lichfield.
Our latest and greatest project 'The Legend of Dinosaur George Muldoon' is an idea Stuart has been working with in the last 10 years. Our earlier projects have been progressive steps leading up to this. Stuart has written the book to define and fully realise the world and narrative. Al has written more than 20 songs so far and we are currently writing the script for the musical.
We will stage the work in its entirety in 2020, starting with a prototype later in 2019 as we did with our previous work 'Hamlin - the Musical'.
The show will be a rollercoaster ride with shocks and delights. The multi-genre musical will incorporate dance, film and feature audience interactivity through smart phones chasing the protagonist around our magical island. From the musical we are also working on a computer game to allow people to explore the world in greater detail and extend its life.
We are looking to feature two animatronic dinosaurs, central to the plot not just to wow audiences although they will do that. We intend to take the dinosaurs out on the road to advertise the show and create a further revenue stream.
Stuart's brings his experience in psychodrama, immersive roleplay, as a Shakespeare actor and working in scare mazes and zombie apocolypse to create this world to scare, enthrall and amuse. We invite you to support financially or through volunteer skills. This is a fantastic and huge endeavour and we need bodies.
In 2017 we workshopped and ultimately produced a full musical based on the Pied Piper of Hamelin for children between 8 and 12. Muldoon looks to extend this to focus on ages 14-18. GoodRow Productions was set up by Managing Director, web developer/actor/film maker Alan Rowe and Artistic Director, actor/entertainer/film maker Stuart Lance Goodwin in 2014 as an inter-generational platform for kids, their parents and their grandparents to come together and act together.
The aim of the company is to tell interesting stories in a fascinating way. The process of bringing those stories to life involves physical theatre, dressing up, making masks, producing props, building sets, new media, shaping and touring performances to fit specific spaces in multiple venues and sharing ideas. Our motto is work hard but play harder.
GoodRow offers training, education, skills, knowledge and understanding in the fields of Drama, Film and Communication. Through improvisation and devised work it promotes problem solving, working together and the development of active imagination.
We aim to facilitate and nurture people’s talents to make them grow in whatever direction they choose. We also, in Producer and Resident Artist Stuart Goodwin have a licensed chaperone.
GoodRow is a non-profit making company; although we do aim to cover the costs of room and venue hire, props, travel, insurance and books. We feel that people with skills should share them and encourage others to do the same.
