Save Us from Falling Through the Ice

*Edit (13/08/2019). We are now closing down our go fund me account. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated and supported the show over the last year. The support has been overwhelming and we can't thank you enough. If you are interested in seeing the show, we will be performing in the University Theatre at Bath Spa University at 7.30pm on October 3rd, 4th and 5th - tickets can be brought on Bath Spa Live. It would be wonderful to see you there. *

The Last Hurrah (and The Long Haul)
A Cumbersome Show
A Leviathan
An Epic

Chaotic and clever, The Last Hurrah (and The Long Haul) pitches you from the endless endeavour of ‘putting on a play’ to the fast-ebbing edges of The Great White Land, up there, near the North Pole, where the Polar Bears roam. Under the sea ice, once (they say), swam whales. Above, now, we cling to the twisted wreckage of our homes.

Farcically funny, fierce and fragile, and told with unbridled joy and warmth, this is the true story a community living with the consequences of climate change. A story of how people pull together. And how they fall apart.

Ready yourselves for humungous sea beasts, horrible storms and a huge health and safety disaster too late to avoid.
Who are we?

We are a team of actors who through research, devising, time, effort and a lot of love have created this weird and wonderful piece of theatre.
The Last Hurrah (and The Long Haul) invited audiences to watch on as a community living with the consequences of climate change pulled together and fell apart. This performance took place over 3 nights at the Bath Spa University Theatre with audiences enthralled with the twists and turns of endearment and humour.

Your money will be spent on investing in a dance floor, an expensive necessity.

Without it we cannot perform our show - it's vital for the safety of our cast and the environments we'll be working in. Please save us from falling through the ice!

The flooring we need is going to cost approximately £1800, with the rest of the money going on other essentials needed with the flooring such as tape and a flight case for travel.

Any extra we raise will go towards the rest of our 100% recycled set.

We appreciate that you work very hard for your money and don't part with it unless it's for something really special, so please know that we really appreciate your donations. Please donate if you can and share if you can't. Spare us the beer on opening night and donate us the money instead. We appreciate and understand that their are so many fantastic causes for you to spend your money on and for that alone, thank you for even considering us at all.

"Fantastic bit of epic story-telling"
