My book on African tribes "The last Defenders"

Gratitude begins in our hearts and then dovetails into behaviour. It almost always makes you willing to be of service, which is where the joy resides.

Hi everyone, my name is Siphephile Sibanyoni a photographer from the Kingdom of Eswatini formerly known as Swaziland. I am here to make an impassioned appeal for help creating the first edition of my African Travels photo book entitled The Last Defenders.

With the love that I have for our beautiful continent , I started working on a Solo project travelling African countries, focusing on African tribes, telling their stories based on the effects of Global warming and Climate Change, Modernisation, Digitalisation and oral traditions. I have visited 10 African countries at the moment, all self funded. I am finding myself to be in a very tight financial situation right now as my funds have dried out.

I am looking forward to visiting the Omo valley, Ethiopia one of the most remote and ancient inhabited regions left on our planet, the home of 10 distinct ethnic groups in Africa.

This trip will seal the final First edition of the book to be on soft and hard copy.

I define the Last Defenders Book as A photographic prologue on the beauty of consciousness.

The journeys taken in exchange of solace, livelihood, awareness and other endeavours with the Inhabitants of the world, through the lens.

I am passionate about story telling and as a photographer, I have been working with using my images as an initiative to create an awareness on the last RAW beauty that Africa needs to hold on into, which is CULTURE, IDENTITY and TRADITIONS.

It's scary on how we connect and communicate spiritually. You can feel the energy when we are hungry, we all get hungry at the same time.

All I could think of,  was my creative and curious son Amahle, nieces and nephews, and the whole world in general on how much I wished I could share my experience and love with them as in a few years such discoveries and stories will be history.

Not only does the book teach on African culture and heritage it also creates an awareness on the dangers and effects of Global warming and climate change on African tribes on the current displacement and exodus from their native lands.

I am currently in Cape town, South Africa working in an effort to bring this dream a reality. Hoping to host an exhibition as we are on Heritage month.   However, this requires funds as printing costs are high.

WISDOM
I have seen so many deaths and births. I am a traditional healer and mid wife.  Before healing others, I start with healing myself.  I might be around 80-90 years, we are all unsure.

With the money raised through this campaign I will be printing high quality hard covered copies of the Last Defenders Book and also large prints for the exhibition on the day of the launch.

I will always update you all with the progress and discoveries.

Thank you so much in advance for your support!
