The Kirk Family Expense Relief Fund

This beautiful family of four live in the wake of disaster from Hurricane Harvey. Chris is a Police Officer with the Houston Police Department and also an Army Veteran. He has been working non-stop since Friday (August 25) along with thousands of other emergency personnel. Melissa is a stay-at-home-mom and supportive wife that helps keep their family together and going when things get rough.
Sadly, this hurricane has not only affected thousands and thousands of people, but it has had a negative affect on this family as well.
Since Chris has been working non-stop and in awful conditions, it has come to my attention that he has gone through at least 4 pairs of boots: three of his police boots, one pair of his old army boots and also his tennis shoes. He has a lot of gear that is ruined that the family will need to replace out of pocket. He will have to get most of his gear at the police surplus store. On top of that, one of their vehicles was submerged in the flood while parked in the police parking lot while he was out on rescue missions, considered a total loss and they will need to replace that vehicle, but will not be getting the amount they need from the insurance company to completely pay off the vehicle. They will be negative $2,800 for what they owe on the car and what the insurance company considered the ACV (actual cash value).
The goal is to raise $4,000, but we are definitely hoping to raise more than that for this family! I truly wish I could put into words how much this family has impacted not only my life, but many other families lives as well--they are just truly amazing, selfess and so kind to everyone! Although the Kirk family would never ask for any help during a time like this, from anyone, we know they need it and every little bit helps! Thank you!!
**I am Ashley and I live in Wyoming. I am a very close friend of the Kirk family and I started this fundraiser to help provide expense relief for them during this time. Funds will be used for replacement police equipment and extra will be put towards replacing their totaled vehicle. All donations will be withdrawn by me personally and a check will be issued to the Kirk family., until Melissa can automatically withdraw funds on her own. She has been added as a beneficiary to withdraw the funds on her own as well**
