The Kiefer Fund!

Donation protected
On Friday we noticed Kief was acting sluggish and not his usual cuddly self - so he was taken to the vet. Good thing he got seen so quickly, because we found out he had a mass on his spleen and would need surgery ASAP. After a day at the ER vet, he had surgery to remove his spleen (and the mass) and take care of blood that had gathered in his abdomen thanks to the spleen rupturing. The surgery went really well, and thanks to it and a blood transfusion he is doing a lot better! Now we just have to wait for the biopsy results of the mass to come back - fingers crossed it’s benign.  Beyond that - Kief will be on “doggy bed rest” for at least the next two weeks while his incision site/surgical areas heal.

We are so grateful kief is doing well and that we could get him the best most affordable vet care possible, but sadly we were very unprepared for such a financial hit - hence coming to gofundme for help. Donations will go towards the cost of his medical care (obviously!) - which are detailed in photos posted here.

NOTE: IF YOUVE DONATED TO OUR GOFUNDME AND IT GOT REFUNDED / IF YOU PLAN TO DONATE; you can’t use a fake name/email or gofundme won’t accept your donation.
You can always make your donation anonymous, but you have to initially use your real name and email - NOT a pseudonym.
I understand if people who got refunded today don’t want to jump through hoops to try again. This is more just a note for those who may donate in future.
