Our Family in Texas

       Homeless

An update on the Kellers.  As you know, the Keller's moved into their new home last December only to have it destroyed by Hurricane Harvey, losing everything they worked hard for.
They saved and picked a community with a highly rated school district in East Texas. Unfortunately, Eve's school now sits in 3 ft of water and the destruction has displaced approximately 800 students. Many of the students are being bused to to an empty University of Houston campus. Fortunately , Eve was able to get back into her "old" school and is happy to see all of her friends. Her friends and the staff are happy to have her back for the time being.
When Amanda told me Eve was given school supplies and would get free breakfast and lunch because she qualifies as being homeless, my heart sunk. If it were not for the kindness of their friends who have generously opened up their home to them, this would be their reality.  My heart not only sunk for them but for the thousands of people in this terrible situation. The magnitude of the devastation is overwhelming. Thank you to those of you who have donated and thank you in advance to those who will be donating. Again, no donation is too small and please share this Go Fund Me page with your friends and family. Let's help them get back on their feet.
