These are hard times for us all, especially the elderly in nursing homes who are on lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic.
My mother and her beautiful friends in St. Kieran's Nursing Home, Rathcabbin are part of this group cocooning to keep themselves safe. They are in the best care with a great team of staff, but unfortunately are away from their families.
My partner Kevin Doyle has decided he wants to make the ultimate sacrifice () and shave his precious beard and hair to raise some funds for some treats to make their days a little brighter whilst they wait for this pandemic to pass. We are hoping this will include maybe an I pad, as many of us are using facetime to be in contact with our loved ones whilst we can't see them in person.
Any donation no matter how big or small would be greatly appreciated.
