Jones needs Mayo!

Clint, or "Jones" as his friends have always called him, is a lifelong friend of mine. He is one of the most soft-spoken, and gentle people I have ever known. I have honestly never heard him speak ill of other people.  He has always been willing to look at the positive side of life, to look for good in other people and to accept others regardless of their differences. He and his wife have always worked very hard to provide for their family and he's always been there for others.  Now he needs our help.
Clint suffers from a condition called MEN1, that has caused tumors to grow on all of his glands.  This has caused a looong list of problems. Among other things, he suffers from seizures that, as I understand it, present as blackouts (that can last for hours). He is really sick... nearly every day.  I am certain that there is a whole list of medical issues he deals with that I don't even know about because he doesn't like to "bother" others with his "problems". It's taken me multiple conversations just to find out as much as I have! He can't work... and I know this is extremely difficult for him to accept. They have been dealing with extreme medical bills for many years. Mandy is working graveyards and trying to raise the kids after a couple hours of sleep when she gets home.
After countless hours/days at countless doctor's, Clint has been accepted as a patient to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN! We are hopeful and prayerful that this opportunity will give them some answers and even  treatment that can greatly increase his quality of life.
When I reached out to his wife, Mandy, about starting this account, she was hesitant to say "yes". I'm sure because they don't feel comfortable asking others for help, especially financial help. She did say she's trying to submit to the Lord's will and accept his help, regardless where it comes from. This is where we come in!
Here's the truth.... this is going to be incredibly expensive. Most of what they are doing to get Clint the help he's needed for over a decade isn't going to be covered by insurance.  He will be at the clinic for a couple weeks and could wind up in-patient. Imagine that. Out of state, out of network, in-patient.  Mandy isn't even planning on staying with him so she can be at home working to save money. She's even selling her car to help with expenses. The goal we've set here is just the starting point. It might be enough to help her be with him and to help with travel expenses. Let's get them to this first goal and then set a new one.
I know 99% of you that donate will know Clint and/or Mandy personally. If you read this and you don't know them, maybe you've thought, and even prayed, recently that you can be of service to someone in need.  Here's a wonderful opportunity to do something really good for that someone.  If you don't know Clint, trust me, he is "one of the good guys".  Trust me.
