Calling all Warriors

Memphis, TN Central High School class of 1964 graduate, lovely Cynthia Cowgill married John Dougherty who was a few years older and a White Station High School graduate in1961.  John and Cynthia enjoyed their young marriage traveling and moving often while Johnny was pursuing his dream as a radio dis-jockey. He was well known and admired as “Johnny Dark”.  He attended Memphis State University and radio school. Between1982-1993 Johnny worked for Channel 3 WREG TV and was living his dream as a sportscaster and weatherman.  John and Cynthia had 3 sons and 1 daughter.  John was inducted into the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame.  In 1993 John suffered his 2nd heart attack and had to retire on  social security disability and his limited         retirement.  Cynthia has worked most of her life and in 2014 took early retirement so she could take care of her husband and their oldest son Todd recently diagnosed with terminal liver, lung, brain and adrenal gland cancer. Todd Dougherty died recently in November 2018 at age 51.  John has not worked since 1993 and Cynthia since 2014.  Their home is 35+ years old and in need of repairs.  Memorial Service  for their son is not possible due to finances.  Cynthia has lived her life as the main caregiver to her now deceased aging mother for 26 years, continually for her dear husband Johnny and the past 18 months to their son Todd.  Cynthia is exhausted and need of our help and support.

Johnny Dougherty 75 years old has suffered 7 heart attacks, 3 heart surgeries, kidney cancer surgery and has to take dialysis 3 times weekly.

“Help Fund A Central Warrior With A Need”.  As we all are blessed to age, many of us may find ourselves in need of Warrior help.

Update: Cynthia is in New Orleans with their 2nd oldest son who had emergency surgery a few days ago. He had kidney stones removed and 10” of his intestines. Mercy me, this poor stressed family. Help if you can any amount.
