Our great friend, Jimbo Gilbert, has recently been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s Disease at the young age of 54.
After graduating from Louisiana Tech, Jimbo spent most of his career in the Medical Device Industry. He was an accomplished and outstanding sales leader for two of the industry’s leading corporations- Stryker and Conmed. Despite all of his professional accolades, Jimbo was most proud of his family and children. Jimbo’s success allowed Jill, his beautiful bride, to stay at home with their young family while he travelled and served as the primary “bread winner.”
The Gilberts live in Lake Charles, Louisiana where they are surrounded by family and friends. Jill and Jimbo will celebrate their twentieth wedding anniversary next year! They are dedicated and loving parents to their four wonderful, smart and charismatic children; Kennedi (22), Haleigh (17), and Beau and Gray (12).
Early onset Alzheimer’s makes basic, daily, life tasks much harder to complete. Unfortunately, Jimbo is no longer able to work due to his symptoms. As Jill re-enters the workforce, she juggles to manage the household, the children and Jimbo’s care.
