The Jeff Wydra Memorial Golf Tournament

Hi, my name is Bob Wydra. On July 5th 2022 my brother Jeff passed away. The Jeff Wydra Memorial Golf Tournament at Red Bridge Golf Club Locust NC at 9am on April 3rd 2023 (signup deadline March 23, 2023) will provide scholarships to students at South Piedmont Community College enrolled in the Construction Trade programs. There is a $5000 hole-in-one contest, a putting contest and many other prizes. Please sign up for a fun round of golf for a great cause.

Jeff worked in the electrical construction industry for over 30 years. Because of Jeff's passion for the construction industry and his desire to support individuals with the same passion and work ethic, his family has established a scholarship fund at South Piedmont Community College (SPCC). The scholarship is designated for any student preparing for a career in the construction industry. In order to qualify, the student must be enrolled in one of the following programs.

-HVAC

-Construction Technology

-Electrical Systems Technology

-Heavy Equipment Operator

Selection of the awards will be made by SPCC faculty. Tuition, books and fees may be considered as components of the award. An initial gift from the Wydra Family has funded the scholarship. The first awards will be announced before the Spring 2023 semester.

The Wydra Family would like to award a scholarship every semester. We thank you for participating in the golf tournament or giving a gift to the scholarship fund.
