WHY ARE YOU TWO DOING A 24 HR HUG?
These days it's easy to forget we are all on the same team and not an Us vs Them. Vanessa and I decided we needed to remind ourselves, our nation, and the world, "We are all family under the roof of humanity." No better way to understand that unbreakable bond to each other than with just a simple hug. So why not a 24 hr one?
Vanessa and I live hundreds of miles apart, but on Oct 24 at 12 PM EST, we will unite face to face at my Gallery One Love in Northampton MA at 18 Center Street. Know each of us will have a COVID just before we meet. At noon with the test clear, we will stand in the big picture window at my gallery and give each other a big hug, and we will stay in our embrace for as long as we can. 24 hours is our goal, and possibly beyond. Anybody that passes the gallery on the street will see us hugging. and be reminded of our everlasting bridge to each other. The longer we hug the more our humanity will come into play too. It will get harder. We do get a 5-minute bathroom break every hour Still, we will get more tired, hungry, thirsty and I am sure even moody as the hours increase, but if we support each other when the other needs it most, who knows how long we can hug. We will find out Oct 24th t 12 pm EST.
We hope you join us in our "A Hug for The World" Just need another person willing to hug you for a really long time that has a clear COVID test. Friend, family, or even an adversary. Go as long as you can maybe break the world record for the longest hug 31 hours. Each member no matter where you hug or how long you hug will get a FREE t-shirt too. That's where the donations come in. We need to fund this vision so it can stretch all around the world through the t-shirts and outreach of the One Love Gallery. So please donate to "A Hug for The World". One Love Y'all.
