The Hatchet mourns Sports Editor Luke Wienecke

Tax deductible
We at The Hatchet are sad to announce that rising junior Luke Wienecke — The Hatchet’s beloved sports editor — died Friday, May 12 in Oklahoma City. He was 20.

You can read The Hatchet's post honoring Luke here.

Luke was a gentle and kind presence who brought a smile into every room he entered, and we’re proud to call him a friend.

Luke's family has encouraged donations to benefit the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance of Oklahoma Inc, and any donation will help make an impact.

Best,
Zach Blackburn and Nick Pasion
