Taylor and Davina Hartsfield are a beautiful family of 3 with an adorable daughter Reagan. Davina is currently pregnant with their son Rocco Alexander whose due date was Monday April 10, 2017. Both are amazing parents giving so much to their community. Taylor is a very successful realtor and Davina is an Elementary School Teacher. Davina is also a pillar within a local program called Girls on The Run. She is a director for the program which helps mentor young girls teaching them about themselves and giving them confidence all while instilling the sport of running. Both Taylor and Davina are active within their church as well as several other leadership programs and their local gym of CrossFit Redline.
On Tuesday April 11, 2017 the unexpected nightmare happened. Taylor was with a co-worker at a leadership event when he began to suffer a Grand Mal Seizure- experiencing 6 episodes. Taylor has never had a seizure and has always had a very clean bill of health. He was rushed immediately to the hospital at which time a CAT Scan determined that he has a massive tumor on the frontal lobe of his brain. He was then heavily sedated to keep further seizures from happening at which time numerous surgeons came in to evaluate. It was determined by the Neurologist that the tumor is most likely an Oligodendrogolima which will be easy to remove however chemotherapy and radiation will be needed to help remove parts that cant be taken out. It will then be biopsed to determine if the tumor is cancerous. Before this seizure Taylor's car was having trouble and broke down in the parking lot. While Taylor and a friend were in the parking lot waiting for the tow truck, Taylore suffered the seizures- with a blessing there were Deputies at the function that night that came immediately to his aid. From there EMS was notified and they responded. Taylor's car was towed to the Volvo dealership where it currently remains. The dealership has stated that the repairs of the will be extensive and not covered by insurance.
Davina is due any minute to deliver their son, which we are hoping Taylor will be able to experience. The surgeon will be determining when the surgery will take place here in the next few days. Davina is currently surrounded by family and her best friends to help keep her calm and to watch her during the final hours of her pregnancy.
They are both about to experience an abundance of medical bills that they were not prepared to have even after insurance takes effect. Any donation amount that can be given will be greatly appreciated.
