The Hannah Warren Campaign

The Hannah Warren Campaign is designed to raise funds for individuals in need of a seizure alert/response service dog. Sadly, Hannah Warren struggled with epilepsy and in June 2021 she has the most tragic thing happen..... she died. Suddenly, without a warning to her family. SUDEP.... Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy is a very scary complication of epilepsy. A parent's worst nightmare is to lose their child and the Warren-Saunders Family has reached out to Ability Dogs Canada about helping others who need a seizure alert/response dog... you see... a service dog may have made all of the difference to Hannah and her family.

ADC Seizure alert/response dogs are trained to detect an on-coming seizure, which can alert a parent if a child is in crisis. This could make a difference to individuals at risk of SUDEP.

Ability Dogs Canada is raising funds to help families in need of a special dog that can help them with their seizures. In Hannah's name, our goal is to help prevent as many cases of SUDEP as possible. To bring peace of mind to parents who have children who struggle with seizures and the complications that come with neurological challenges. Donations will go directly to the purchase, training, feedings and vet care for an Ability Dog. Families in need, are invited to apply for a seizure alert/response dog and our goal is to raise enough money to cover the full cost of an ADC Service Dog.

It costs $22,000 for a fully trained seizure response/alert service dog. In Hannah Warren's name, we are going to take away some of the power SUDEP has and give parents some peace of mind while caring for a child struggling with a seizure disorder.
