The Green Hub Project For Teens

The Green Hub project at Luck's Yard Clinic. 
Emotional stress and anxiety is on an all time rise in young people of today.
In May 2019 Chiropractor Tone Tellefsen Hughes had the opportunity to take on an enclosed and walled garden behind the Luck's Yard Clinic in Milford.
She works daily with teenagers and have been concerned over the past ten years how stress and worry has become more and more common in this age group. So, she wanted to make a positive change for the young people in the community. 

We have since built a group of volunteer gardeners, therapists and project managers to organise community garden sessions for teens, out side gardening session as well as Teen Talks in our community. 

We are fundraising to ask our community to help us create this precious place where we will welcome teenagers with emotional and mental health issues to join us in the calm and safe garden being in nature, fresh air and away from electronic devices.
We are so grateful for all the support we have had from our Town, community, volunteers  and local businesses. 

We have run workshops for teenagers and parents and they have been really successful and our intention is to carry on these workshops and garden session in the autumn of 2020.
