Those of you that are close to my family know that my Dad has had bladder cancer on and off for several years.  Then, last year my dad found out he had kidney cancer that was initially misdiagnosed as kidney stones.  Once it was finally determined that it was kidney cancer, he had to have one of his kidney's removed.  It was a tough recovery for him, however we thought he was in the clear.  Unfortunately, not too long after his surgery, he noticed a large lump on his lower stomach, which turned out to be a cancerous tumor and also a few clusters of cancerous tumors. My dad had to go through the dreadful process of chemo therapy, however that did not shrink the tumor.  He then ended up having to do immunotherapy, but that was also unsuccessful.  The tumor has grown in size and has caused my dad tremendous pain on a daily basis, causing him to no longer be able to work.  He has been unable to work for the past few months which has caused a huge strain on my parent's finances as my dad was the higher wage earner for my family.  My dad has always been the hardest worker to provide for his family, and I know this is hard for him.  My dad had to retire and apply for disability, however the process is very lengthy, and won't commence until after the new year.  My mom has had to  try her hardest to maintain their finances on her income alone, which has been extrememly stressful and almost unatainable as the months go on, especially with still having three children at home to provide for.  In addition to making up for her days off of work from having to take my dad to all of his treatment sessions and doctor's appointments, she picks up all of the extra overtime she can, while still maintaining a household.  She is the ultimate super woman - but one person can only do so much.  My parent's have always helped others in need, even if they were not in the greatest spot and they truly deserve the world.  They are the greatest people I know! I have started this fundraiser for them because I know my parents would never want to take from anyone or ask for help , but they are in tremendous need.  We found a new treatment/therapy for my dad that may possibly save his life!  The treatment costs $6,500.00 out of pocket, so any money we can raise for this would be a miracle. I pray everyday for my dad's recovery and for him to be pain free.  Any donations would be so greatly appreciated, and most of all - prayers for my dad to fight this evil evil disease.  Thank you to all and God bless, Kristina (Gravatas) Jweda .
