The Gooche- Put the FUN in Funeral

On a normal day, I can write with finesse and a creative flare that flows with ease. Today I have started this paragraph and deleted the collection of words too many times to count.
How do you appeal to your friends, family and strangers to help you to pay for the funeral of someone they possibly don't know?
My partner Brad had suffered depression for many, many years. It was your typical case of on the surface, he appeared to be your happy, somewhat crazy tattoo and pierced guy who turned heads no matter where he went and had kids literally staring wide eyed and on occasion pointing at the weird man with 38mm tunnels in his ears, a mo-hawk and a skull tattooed on the side of his head.
The demons and screaming skulls in a sea of hellfire tattooed on his arm depicted an unsettling scene of souls being lost and fighting to not be consumed is now more than a tattoo, but a piece of art that told us on a daily basis what he was feeling. Brad literally "wore his heart on his sleeve. Art work that reflected the inner demons he battled.
On Sunday the 23rd of September, those demons won the battle for his soul and he took his life.
I cannot begin to express the depth of my anguish at losing him in this way. Having him leave so unexpectedly and so suddenly, there was no "emergency fund", no will.
Financially, we lived week to week and often day to day, so I am now here to ask for your help. Brad wouldn't want a fancy send off, so I'm not asking for the world, but if you could help and donate towards giving Brad the best send off we can, I, on behalf of his kids Zakk and Taya, their mum Nikki, Brads family and of course Brad would be much appreciative of any donation you can offer.
I will confirm the date and time of the funeral once it is all locked in for those of you who would like to join us in saying one last time.."Cheers and Beers!"
