The Glasgow royal infirmary ICU

As many of you are aware. My amazing fiance made a decision to do the Great Scottish run last year on the 30th of September, unfortunately at the finish line he suffered a cardiac arrest and due to the quick and amazing staff at the event his heart was restarted and he was then rushed to the Glasgow royal infirmary!
Stefan was in ICU in a coma for 2 weeks. Within those 2 weeks the staff were outstanding! They tried on a few occasions to bring Stefan out of the coma and at first it was unsuccessful but the staff were so supportive and attentive. Nothing was even a hassle these people work round the clock giving one on one care not just for the patients but also the family! The care and attention they provide is second to none! They kept us up to date with even the smallest of details which to us meant the world! The help of the staf from the ICU unit I can't even begin to describe what they done for u as a family let alone Stefan! They aloud us to stay within the family room made sure we had everything we needed and as for Stefan genuinely they went above and beyond! No amount of words could ever describe how thankful we are for the ward and the staf within it. Thanks to them Stefan is now back fighting fit living his life. He is now getting to watch his kids grow up and we have just booked our wedding! These things might not have been possible if these guys didn't do what they do!! The family room was created by funding and donations along side different equipment within the ICU ward! We would love to be able to give something back to the unit as they truly are incredible!
Glen will be running the great Scottish run this year for Stefan and to raise money for the ICU unit! Glen and Stefan attended and both ran the race last year together and he has very kindly offered to race for Stefan with his number!
We have set us this page in the hope that even if u can give a little that support to sponsor Glen and the hospital it will go along way for the Glasgow royal infirmary ICU unit!
