Medical Costs for Anya and Yulia

Follow us on Instagram for updates!  @georgesadopt.  The last few days have been exhausting, overwhelming, and down right hard. But what I will add to that, is that God has shown up in big ways through it all. He never promises we won't have to walk through the fire, but He DOES promise that He will be there the whole time. And He definitely has been and continues to be. As some of you know, we had to emergency land our United Flight 195 from Munich to San Francisco. Anya began struggling to breathe during the flight. She had multiple seizures and was going into respitory distress. She became completely unresponsive. Our amazing nurse, Valerie Bitterman, made the call to have the plane make an emergency landing. Miraculously, there was a small town within 45 minutes of where we were (over the Arctic circle). We landed in a small town in Canada called Iqaluit (The people there are truly amazing). Anya was stabilized in Iqaluit and taken by medevac to Calgary children's, where she and Robin are at right now. We're still trying to figure out the best option for getting Anya back home to the U.S. Whether we continue treatment in Canada or have her taken by medevac to Seattle Children's Hospital. The medevac she took from Iqaluit to Calgary will cost us $30,000 out of pocket as our insurance doesn't cover medevac. Her stay in the pediatric ICU is $24,000 a day. However, our girl is worth more than any amount of money. We also know that God is bigger than money and I know He'll provide like He always does. Valerie, Yulia, and I are currently on our way home to Seattle. I hate being away from my wife and I hate being away from Anya. However, I feel God's presence and His closeness and know that He's in control. We appreciate all of the prayers and outpouring of love we've experienced these last few days. Continued prayers and support are appreciated. Anya is such a fighter, it's crazy. The girl is 3 years old and has already gone through more than most adults go through in their entire lives. Continue to pray for Anya and for wisdom for Robin and I as we have to make some critical decisions in the days to come.
