As you are aware, the Covid-19 crisis has hit the world hard, plunging multiple sectors into limbo and the events industry is no different. Festivals are still in the midst of a battle for visibility in this ever changing climate and we have no choice but to ask for your help.
As a festival, we have unfortunately fallen between the cracks and received no support from government or arts council funding leaving us in the precarious position we are in now.
Over the past year we have been unable to host our wonderful festival, or run any other events, due to government restrictions, which of course have heavily impacted our cash flow as a festival. It is also affecting our ability to run and enhance local community driven events, which we are immensely passionate about.
On a personal level, our director and founder, Emma T, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Some of you will know Emma or have seen her running around the festival field, working hard to ensure everything in our little piece of sunshine runs perfectly. Luckily, the cancer has been caught early and the support from the doctors and the medical staff has been incredible so far. One operation down and Emma will be starting further treatment shortly. Emma is a superwoman and we know she can tackle this and come out even stronger. In a normal year she juggles 5 kids, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and an entire festival, this is nothing she can’t overcome! Her health and happiness are of the utmost importance to us and so we have had no choice but to take this as the final sign to press pause on the festival yet again.
BUT WE WILL RETURN!!!!
We are taking this time to pull our socks up, revamp our little festival and plan our triumphant, spectacular return in 2022 for our 10TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
What will the money be used for?
Glas-Denbury is “a festival like no other” authentic, friendly, safe and accessible. It provides a platform for all things South West England and offers something for people of every age and interest. The festival works hard to be as sustainable as possible and has a positive impact on local businesses and surrounding areas. We support local organisations through brand awareness, donations and practical support from the proactive, forward thinking, community-based team, who all have a passion for supporting and nurturing people. The festival provides outstanding entertainment with a diverse programme that includes music, entertainment, poetry, workshops, South West food and drink and more. Located in beautiful South Devon, it is a collaboration of like minded people and organisations, who come together to create a colourful, happy event.
With the 10th anniversary of Glas-Denbury coming up in 2022, we want to provide the biggest and best experience for all our wonderful festival goers who have supported us through the years so all the money raised will be used to cover deposits that need to be paid to secure the infrastructure of the 2022 event, losses accrued over the past year and to begin our organisational process for next years’ event. Ultimately, we will ensure that YOU directly benefit from the money raised when you join us at future events and see the magic we can conjure when we have the freedom to do so. All funds raised will be put to use as soon as we receive them in giving the festival a future.
Glas-Denbury is our world, so your support will quite literally mean the world to us. You are helping to solidify its future and we will work our hardest to make sure that it’s future shines bright.

What we are about:
Visit Devon’s Gold for “Festival of the Year” 2019 and 2018, as well as bronze for Festival of the Year in the South West 2019-2020 and 2018-2019.
Glas-Denbury showcases the best of the South West, from its people to its creativity, food to its music, entertainment to its soul. It holds onto that small family festival feel which is what sets it apart from other festivals, with multiple stages of music from all genres, entertainers, workshops, silent discos, entertainment, activities, inflatables and more to enjoy. We may not be the biggest festival out there, but we have the biggest hearts with which we create an incredibly family friendly, safe, accessible, sustainable, happy, colourful, inspirational place to be with the people you love. Whether you are a family with young children or teenagers, a group of adults who want to leave the children at home and party, wanting to celebrate a birthday or just want to come and appreciate the wealth of arts we have here in the South West, there really is something for everyone at Glas-Denbury!
