The Fund for Darby Rose

From 2006-2010, Andrea Tessler ruled the flat track with Philly Roller Derby. Skating as Robin Drugstores #714, she struck terror into many a jammer's heart as a member of the league's charter travel team, the Liberty Belles, as well as the legendary Heavy Metal Hookers home team. With her daughter, Darby Rose (Fire Unicorn), cheering her on with "unicorn magic," no opponent was too formidable.

Although Andrea was responsible for encouraging and inspiring dozens of friends and fans to improve their lives, she could not beat the addiction that ultimately ended hers much too soon.

Little Fire Unicorn is now a beautiful, poised, and talented teenager, facing more than her share of pain, loss, and continuous challenges. Your contribution will be directed to her future education, interests, activities, and aspirations.  (Think tuition, lessons, camps, application fees, and associated expenses)

Her mom was, of course, Darby's most devoted fan and supporter. This fund can't replace that devotion, but we hope our donations will help sustain some of that "unicorn magic" for years to come.

Thank you so much for your consideration and generous contribution.  Please feel free to share this campaign.
