The Fox Fight

Donation protected
Ron Fox has been valiantly fighting melanoma for several years, participating in several drug trials, undergoing an amputation of his leg, enduring chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Through all of this he has maintained a positive attitude. For those of you who don’t know Ron I will tell you a little about him. Ron has devoted his life to serving others, for more than 20 years he worked at and eventually served as the director of a city mission. His service to the clients of the mission was filled with love and acceptance. He was the welcoming face who treated clients, the homeless, down-throdden, and lost with respect and love. He gave them dignity and showed them kindness when most would have walked by and ignored them. The mission under his direction served thousands of meals to the homeless and families who could not afford to pay both rent and for food. For years each and every holiday for Ron was spent first serving the mission family and only when all had been cared for, did he spend time with his family at home. As a husband, father and grandfather he has provided both financial support to his family and spiritual guidance, as God is at the core of Ron’s heart. He has a strong demonstrated faith that has carried him through this difficult fight with cancer.
After leaving the mission Ron began volunteering at Unity hospital. This led to a position at the hospital. Again, he brings a smile and kind words to patients and families, while pushing himself in his wheelchair through the halls.
This appeal for financial support is being made to help Ron and his family pay bills while he is unable to work. Ron’s doctors have prevented him from working for the past three months and have said his return date in unknown at this time. Ron’s devoted wife Sherry, cares for her aging mother and because this is a full-time non-paying job, she is not bringing any money into the home.
This family has not asked for financial support, they believe that God provides and will ensure that they have food and warmth. This appeal is to help ensure this.
Any amount that you can give is welcome, forgo that meal in a restaurant and eat at home, don’t stop for coffee for a week, don’t buy that candy bar- instead donate this money to the “Fox Fight”.
